Emotions nee' logic

Universe is so dynamic and versatile that sometimes a whole life is not enough to perceive it. we are just a freckle of dust in this whole dynamism .Our dreams, our  perceptions and jurisdictions are limited to a small patch of soil which gets wet and dry with our emotions from time to time. When winds of time and circumstances blow, we get carried away from one patch to another not knowing what to do.But ultimately when we touch the next unknown patch of our life, we start binding ourselves to that patch with emotions, in spite of knowing that the emotions are not enough to bind us to that patch again. That is the time our thought process steps in and we logically convince ourselves that this is the best way to deal with the present situation and as and when the next situation arises, it will be dealt with. And it goes on....
Scientifically and physiologically emotions and logic  arise from two different parts of the brain. It is an established fact that every person has a different composition of emotions and logical thinking in their personality.
Every human being has both the virtues present inside but it depends on our personal discretion that how well you use them.
Some people take pride in claiming that they think and work logically and emotions have no role to play in their decisions and life ! But emotions are stringently controlled by logic and vice versa.
The supremacy of the brain is so astonishing that  it doesn't let any process last for long. You may be deeply immersed in sorrows or happiness, the brain find its way out of it and drifts you away ,unknowingly into alien thoughts and territories, where you find solace for a few moments without realizing whether you were thinking logically or emotionally ( I call it a brain wave as it is equivalent to the sea waves which wash away all the footprints from the wet sand ) .Emergence from this state is called span of  attention and drowning in this brain wave can be called tranquility.
Logic in my opinion is the next step of emotions in the process of evolution of self. When we evolve, we don't "Delete" the earlier virtue and "Save" the next one because we are not machines which have limited       capacity /memory . Phylogenesis is a complex and prolonged procedure which nurtures both  factors and none of them can become extinct or be preferred upon the other. It basically depends upon how often we use them . In a way we train ourselves to use one part of the brain more than the other, which ultimately becomes a habit and a part of our evident personality.
A balanced person is one who doesn't shun emotions or logic but reaches a stage where they both compliment and suppliment each other . One virtue leading to another in behavioural perspective is an ideal situation. Make optimum use of both for real happiness.Ignoring emotions and anchoring onto logic is like
having bland food , as emotions bring spice to our precious and uncertain life.
God bless !!

Boys Locker Room - A Sneak peak into Mindset of Present - day Youth - Part 2

Adults - How to be better human beings? The psyche behind ‘boys Locker Room’ is not limited to social media or a specific age group. It is a deep-rooted systemic issue found pervasively in all strata of society. There are very few safe spaces where women are respected and treated fairly. Be it home or work space, they are constantly at risk of exploitation, abuse and victimization. Every incident puts more and more embargo on women while leaving the perpetrators to walk away freely. Parents do try to give the best of upbringing and values to their progeny. But, as mentioned earlier, kids learn from their surroundings, and pick up subtle behaviour from immediate family members. When ‘gender role consistent’ behaviours have been part of upbringing, the thought process and reactions are stereotypical, and breaking away from it is not easy. While talking about adults, we’ve to learn to mention every context in gender neutrality. Aim of this narrative is not to ridic...

Be a crab in the bucket or just walk away...

One bright morning, a man went walking along the beach and there he saw a fisherman fishing with a bait bucket beside him. As he drew closer, he saw that the bait bucket had no lid and there were live crabs inside. “Why don't you cover your bait bucket so the crabs won't escape?” he asked. The fisherman replied, "I don't need to put a lid. If there was only one crab in the bucket it would surely crawl out very quickly. Things are different when there are many crabs in the bucket, because, if one tries to crawl up the side, the others will grab hold of it and pull it back down so that it will share the same fate as the rest of them." This also points towards very typical human behaviour which we see around us all the time. If someone tries to do something different, chalk out a different path for themselves, or dream big, other people especially those who are unable to manage themselves, will try to drag that person down to the bottom with full fo...

Is this Kashmiriat?

Is this Kashmiriat? The recent controversy about banning the all girls music band has brought us into center of the another discussion about secularism and “Kashmiriat” once again. Kashmir has a unique and distinct cultural heritage which is multifaceted, multicolored and vibrant like its demography. For centuries Kashmir has had a history of invasions by outside forces to subjugate people by perpetual use of force and apart from persecution and plunder, the worst hit could have been the culture of this paradise on earth. But, the valley has embraced one and all with large heart and open arms ad o pting their art, customs an...
